My Story

This story is deeply personal. I’m sharing it with one purpose: if it helps even one Veteran, it’s worth it.

In early 2025, the hardest year of my life began. I lost my mother, then soon found myself hospitalized with life-threatening health issues. Doctors told me I had only months to live without a specialist. What followed was weeks in the hospital, time in the ICU, and a long, frightening struggle to get the care I needed.

Everything changed on Mother’s Day. After nearly losing my life, I chose to look at it differently. That day sparked something in me—a desire to give back in a meaningful way. With the incredible support of my wife and the care I received through the VA, I finally got the help I needed. My health turned around, and so did my purpose.

As I recovered, I asked myself how I could make that second chance matter. The answer was clear: help Veterans.

That’s why I started VSV. Our first mission is simple but critical—providing free transportation for Veterans to VA facilities in Fort Worth, Dallas, and eventually beyond. Not just a ride, but support. A friendly face. Someone who walks with them, not just drops them off.

VSV was born from gratitude, loss, and hope. We are committed to getting this done—no matter what it takes.
